The Foundation Series
​
This series is designed to help you understand the Visible Learning research, acquire a common language of learning, and develop a cycle of inquiry and knowledge-building into your school professional learning process. You will focus your time, energy, and resources on the practices that have the greatest impact on your students’ learning. During this series of professional learning sessions, you will engage with the high-impact practices from the Visible Learning research and learn how to collect evidence of the extent to which these practices are present in your school or classroom. Then, you’ll collect data from your school or classroom and create an action plan for your first impact cycle.
Visible Learning+ Workshops
The Growth Ed Professional Learning Services team provide customised professional learning plans based on the needs and goals of your school or network for implementing Visible Learning. As part of our commitment to educator support, our professional learning advisors and accredited consultants can provide a confidential needs assessment and make recommendations for a professional learning sequence, implementation support, and coaching.
The Impact Series
The Impact Series is a collection of high-impact instructional practices designed to enhance school capabilities around the key Visible Learning themes so teachers can have the greatest impact on students’ learning. You will collect evidence about what your school needs to focus on. Then your team will work with a Growth Ed Visible Learning+ consultant to identify and support the initiatives identified in your action plan.
The Practice Series
During professional learning sessions in either mathematics and/or literacy, teachers will discover strategies that build conceptual understanding of mathematical or literary ideas and learn to design classroom experiences that achieve surface, deep, and transfer phases of learning. With this series, you can put those strategies into practice to maximise students’ ownership of learning.
Implementation Support and Coaching Services
Impact Coaches are Visible Learning champions among your staff who help ensure that growth and effective changes are embedded in your school for long-term sustainability. Growth Ed trains these coaches to support leaders and teachers as they implement rigorous and ongoing evaluation, collect, and analyse evidence, and implement Visible Learning practices after consultation ends.
During the School Impact Process, school-based Impact Coaches participate in three day-long sessions where they will:

Build a strong understanding of the principles of Visible Learning

Work collaboratively with school and system leaders to establish and implement plans to collect, collate, and analyse evidence to inform the school’s Visible Learning action plan

Establish a Visible Learning action plan focused on building school’s internal capacity to improve student achievement

Review the results of evaluation and monitoring with the school’s Visible Learning team and work collaboratively with leadership to ensure that Visible Learning practices are in place

Support ongoing change by establishing a cycle of evidence gathering.
